Effective 5 October 2026 · Version 1.3
These terms are an agreement between you and Nischal Khanal, the developer of TriPass, covering your use of the TriPass iOS app. By using TriPass you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the app and delete it.

Lapsing never locks you out of your own data
If your subscription ends, or you choose not to renew, you keep full read access to everything already saved, and you can still search it, edit it, export it and restore it on a new device — however many items that is. Save forty while subscribed and you keep all forty. The free limit applies only to adding something new. Your data is yours; we will not hold it hostage to a payment.
Your account and your master password
You are responsible for keeping your master password and your Recovery Kit safe. This is not boilerplate — it is a description of how the encryption works:
- Your master password is the only input to your encryption key.
- We hold nothing that can reproduce it and no way to reset it.
- Your Recovery Kit code is the only other route in, and we never store the code itself.
- If you lose both, your data cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. This is a deliberate property of the design, not a limitation we intend to remove.
You agree to use TriPass lawfully, not to attempt to access other users' accounts or data, not to interfere with or overload our servers, and not to reverse engineer the app except to the extent that law expressly permits.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep TriPass working and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Cloud features depend on Google Cloud and on your network. Features may change, and we may discontinue the service — if we discontinue it, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data, which you can do at any time regardless.
One iPhone at a time. A TriPass account can be used on one iPhone at a time. Signing in on another iPhone signs the first one out, after its changes have been saved to your encrypted backup. The website and the Chrome extension don’t count towards this.
Changes to these terms. Version 1.3 (5 October 2026): one iPhone at a time. Version 1.2 (5 October 2026): encrypted cloud backup moved from Premium to the free plan; reading your vault on tripass.com.au and in the Chrome extension is free on every plan.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TriPass is provided as is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data arising from a forgotten master password or a lost Recovery Kit. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Your consumer rights come first
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under consumer protection laws that cannot lawfully be excluded where you live, such as the EU and UK consumer rules or the Australian Consumer Law. Where such a law applies and we fail to meet a guarantee it gives you, you are entitled to the remedies it provides, and the limitation above does not apply to that extent.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws in force in Australia, where TriPass's developer is based, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If you are a consumer, nothing here deprives you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or of the ability to bring a claim there.
